Ride To Restore
On the last Sunday of September 2018, The Helping Hand (THH) held its third non-competitive cycling event “Ride To Restore”. The purpose of the event was firstly to raise awareness of THH’s rehabilitative program, secondly to highlight the different social enterprises we have for the public to support and thirdly to introduce cycling as a form of exercise for our staff and residents.
For this year’s event, even though we had about the same number of registered participants as of last year, we did see many new participants joining us for the first time. Among them, we have a group of Brompton’s riders rolling in both the long and short category. Beside the riders, we are also blessed to have many student volunteers from National Junior College helping us out as road marshalers and water point servers. We are indeed thankful to them.
We are truly thankful to God for the all the participants and volunteers who participated, and for their safety throughout the event. After the ride, everyone was treated to a tasty chicken rice lunch in THH’s premises, lovingly prepared by our kitchen staff.
All Praise and Glory to God!
