At The Helping Hand, we rehabilitate residents who struggle with substance abuse. Many of them have not held down decent jobs for a long time. Here, through work at the bakery, it gives them a chance to see how it's like to hold down employment, and to build skills that allow them to make a decent living.
This further builds up our society, so that we move these residents away from drug dealing, which reduces the safety on our streets, not just for this generation, but for our kids.
