We grow

healthy vegetables to sell

Knowing the therapeutic effect of plants, our residents work in the Urban Farm, planting small vegetables that we sell to places like Tomato Town.

How, and why did we start this Urban Farm?

The Urban Farm was set up in October 2020 to help our clients deal with their emotional issues, as well as provide a platform for them to be skilled in a relevant field that would equip them with employable skill sets when they reintegrate into society. The farm seeks to train our clients in soil, hydro and aero-mist technologies that will be complimented with botanical studies. Volunteers and professionals in urban farming engage regularly with our resident farmers providing them with a step by step learning process, while imparting Christian values and virtues into the therapy.

Provide One To One Training

Knowing that some residents preferred to work on a smaller group basis, our Urban Farm provides that training.

Trained With Professionals

Professionals from the likes of A'Rocha, work with us on the plots of land, so that we can make The Helping Hand a greener place to enjoy.

Providing Therapy Amidst Greens

Knowing the therapeutic power of greens, we give residents a space where they can slowly heal.

Why not volunteer with us?

  • Our cultivated plots are now growing, with our recent Memorandum of Understanding with A'Rocha, a Christian charity focused on creation care.
  • A'Rocha brings experts every Wednesday and Saturday to intensify the plants on our land. They are currently at a phase where they are preparing the soil.
  • You can learn more about planting, how to attract the right sort of bees to help with pollination, and much more.
  • If you love planting, and don't mind working in the sun, join us!
